The first boxes of equipment left for Antarctica.

The boxes are shipped to Brest, to the French Polar Institute IPEV, which takes care of them until their final destination. To compensate for any unpleasant unloading surprises due to sea ice or bad weather, the equipment is shipped 15 months in advance and will be stored in Dumont d'Urville and available as soon as the traverse starts in November 2019.
